Refunds & engagement changes | Fieldmark Financial Review
How deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for audit, review, and related engagements.
Scope
These terms apply to professional engagements described on this site — statutory audits, limited reviews, internal control assessments, and agreed-upon procedures. This site does not sell physical products, software licences, or self-serve subscriptions.
Refund eligibility
Fees already earned for work performed (planning, fieldwork hours, report drafting) are generally non-refundable. Unused portions of a planning deposit may be refundable as described below when an engagement is cancelled before substantial work begins.
Timeframe to request a refund
Refund requests related to deposits or billing errors should be sent in writing to hello@cloudnetworkecosystem.digital within fourteen days of the invoice date or cancellation notice, whichever is earlier. Include the engagement reference and reason for the request.
Full or partial refunds
- Full refund of planning deposit: If you cancel in writing before we begin planning procedures and before any scheduled fieldwork date, we refund the planning deposit in full within fourteen business days of approval.
- Partial refund: If planning has started but fieldwork has not, we may retain a portion of the deposit reflecting hours already spent on risk assessment, request lists, and coordination, and refund the remainder.
- No refund of earned fees: Amounts invoiced for completed stages (fieldwork weeks, issued reports, completed procedures) are not refundable.
Non-refundable items
Third-party confirmation fees advanced on your behalf, travel costs already incurred for agreed site visits, and fees for reports already issued are non-refundable.
Refund process and method
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible, or by bank transfer to an account you nominate. Processing typically takes seven to fourteen business days after approval, depending on the banking channel.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule by written notice. Rescheduling more than ten business days before fieldwork usually incurs no fee. Rescheduling within ten business days may incur a calendar-hold charge reflecting reserved staff time. We may cancel if independence is impaired, required access is denied, or fees remain unpaid beyond agreed terms; in those cases, earned fees remain due and unused deposit portions are handled under the partial-refund rules above.
Deposits
A planning deposit is due on engagement letter signature. It is applied against the final fee. It is not a separate product purchase.
No-shows and delayed evidence
If scheduled fieldwork cannot proceed because key personnel or evidence are unavailable without timely notice, we may charge for reserved days or convert the visit to a later date under the rescheduling rules. Repeated delays may require a revised fee quote.
Work already started
Once planning memos, sampling plans, or substantive tests are underway, fees for that work are due even if you later decide not to proceed to report issuance. We will provide a status summary of work completed upon request.
Purchased materials
We do not sell kits or materials as standalone goods. Any schedules or templates shared during an engagement remain subject to the engagement letter’s confidentiality and IP clauses.
Exceptions
If mandatory law in Japan grants you rights that cannot be waived, those rights prevail over conflicting language here. Engagement-letter clauses agreed for a specific client take precedence for that engagement where they expressly modify these website terms.
